SUPER SAINTS – WINNING WANDERERS Leichhardt Saints FC are the Champions of the 50th edition of the All Age Women’s 1st Division, winning the Grace Martin Trophy last Sunday evening against Strathfield, 1-0. Now the attention turns to the Bill Brackenbury Cup Grand Final which is set for Saturday afternoon between Strathfield and Hurlstone Park.

Semi-finals are set for play at the venue the late Grace Martin called her second home, Bennett Park. A fitting tribute considering the Association’s elder statesman passed during the season.

But that is just what we have. While some may already know if they will be taking to the field in finals, there are only a few who know where they will finally finish.

Two new all-weather playing surfaces are on the table in a proposal for Callan Park

These fields would be delivered using modern technology and cork infill, which has already been successfully implemented at other all-weather surfaces in the Inner West and across Sydney, including at Lambert Park and Tempe Reserve. The design would seek to incorporate disability access for a range of sporting activities.
