Football Canterbury was represented at the recent Magpie Sports Awards with ACU FC selected as a finalist for the Team Magpie Award.
The Magpie Sports Awards are a prestigious awards ceremony held by Wests Ashfield that have awarded the best sporting achievements in the Inner West / Western Sydney for the past 61 years.
After a three-year hiatus due to Covid, the 2023 edition was the first event since the break with a share of $20,000 of prize money available to the winners.
ACU FC’s Division 11 team was selected as a finalist after a strong season which was them win both the league premiership and grand final in spectacular fashion: scoring an incredible 71 goals over the course of the season.
