Four clubs from Football Canterbury will be competing in Round 2 of the Australia Cup this weekend.
All four teams were drawn as the away team but ACU FC will be competing at home.
Riverwood Glory FC v Balmain DFC
11am Saturday 11 March at Peakhurst Park, Peakhurst
Balmain DFC travel to Peakhurst to take on Riverwood Glory from Football St George. Balmain finished second on the Bill Brackenbury Cup table last season before bowing out in straight sets in the finals series.
Riverwood were quite successful in 2022, winning the double in AA A (Football St George’s second division), finishing first on the ladder and then defeating Sans Souci in the grand final.
Chatswood Rangers v Hurlstone Park Wanderers

Hurlstone Park Wanderers swept away all in front of them last season as they won the double in the Bill Brackenbury Cup: wining the league premiership in dominant fashion before defeating Enfield Rovers in the grand final.
Chatswood Rangers, from Northern Suburbs FA, were in Division 2 last season fighting for promotion: eventually finishing in second place.
Como Jannali SC v Enfield Rovers
3pm Sunday 12 March at Seymour Shaw Park, Miranda
Enfield Rovers finished last season as runners-up in the Bill Brackenbury Cup as they lost the grand final after finishing the regular season in fourth place.
Como Jannali, from Sutherland Shire Football, were grand finalists in the Sutherland Premier League but were unable to take home the silverware.
Fairfield Eagles v ACU FC

ACU FC finished mid-table in AA1 last season and were knocked out in the first round of the Australia Cup. In fact, ACU FC have never won a game in the Australia Cup and will be looking to change that against Fairfield Eagles.
Fairfield, from Southern Districts, also played in their association’s second tier, finishing second on the table before losing on penalties in the semi-final.
Three more Football Canterbury clubs were drawn directly into Round 3 so their dates and venues are yet to be finalised.
