Two Football Canterbury players have been selected in the PFA Team of Season!
Since 2009, the PFA has revealed the side in Grand Final week, collating votes from their members who are asked to select their best XI from the campaign. The composition of the team is based on the number of votes tallied for each player in each position.
Marco Tilio from Melbourne City and Nectar Triantis from Central Coast Mariners were both votes into the Team of the Season by their peers.
It is an incredible achievement by both players.
Tilio, a forward who has scored ten goals in 24 appearances this season, played for Enfield Rovers and APIA Leichhardt JFC as a junior.
Triantis, a defender who has played 24 matches this season, played for Canterbury Lions as a junior and in 2021 coached at Earlwood Wanderers.
Tilio and Triantis will be facing each other in the A-League Men’s Grand Final this Saturday at CommBank Stadium with kick-off at 7:45pm.
