CDSFA kicked off the first session of its newly-created youth female coach development program on Tuesday.
CDSFA is proud to pilot the youth female coach development program with head of female football, Trudy Burke, at the helm alongside coaches from Football NSW and Sydney FC. The new program is designed to inspire our next generation of coaches within the association. The program aims to not only create qualified, confident, and agile coaches, but create young female leaders and role models for our football community.
24 girls ranging between the ages of 13 to 21 were the fortunate few who successfully completed the application process. What lies ahead for them is an exciting program that will springboard their respective coaching careers!
What’s To Come
The first event on Tuesday formed the beginning of a jampacked 10-event program that will see the girls complete their MiniRoos, Skills Training and First Aid Certificates. This select group will then be presented with an incredible opportunity to attend a communication and leadership workshop at the Future Matildas training base led by Future Matildas Head Coach, Leah Blayney.
This first batch of young female coaches will also be provided with hands on coaching experience with CDSFA and their local clubs as well as coaching opportunities with Football NSW and Sydney FC!
Watch this space as we look to share plenty of more stories about our latest CDSFA female football program
