With the finals series well underway for the A-League Men’s, most clubs have now had their end-of-season awards nights with two Football Canterbury players recognised for their achievements in 2022/23.
Noah Botic was a big winner, taking out the Golden Boot award for Western United as well as Young Player of the Year.
Botic scored six goals for the men’s team, including a fantastic run of five goals in five games near the end of the season.
In total, Botic – who played for Canterbury Lions – appeared in 21 matches this season, starting ten of them.
The second Football Canterbury player to be recognised was Nectar Triantis, who also played for Canterbury Lions.
Triantis was the recipient of Newcomer of the Year at Central Coast Mariners where he played 22 matches this season, starting in 18 of them.
Both players are also international representatives, having played for Australia in 2023.
Congratulations Noah and Nectar, we are very proud of you!
