Russell Lea – Hurlstone Park 1-3

A Maree Paradisis goal on the stroke of the hour mark made sure of the points for Hurlstone Park as they buckle down for their clash with Leichhardt.
Russell Lea will be aiming to get their first points of the season when they play ACU in the second of the double headers on the campus grounds on Sunday.
Balmain DFC – ACU Football Club 2-3
ACU Football Club posted their first-ever GMT win as they came from behind to beat Balmain 3-2 on Sunday.
A quick fire double saw Balmain snatch a 2-0 with Hazel Duwenbeck opening the scoring on 34 minutes before none other than Zoe Kalos popped up with her third goal of the season three minutes later.
An inspired team talk at half time must have done the trick for ACU as they came out firing with Gillian Bartlett reducing the deficit on 50 minutes.
It was then up to Nicole Ossio who completed the turnaround with a brace within the space of five minutes.
ACU will be overjoyed with their first three points in the GMT and will be high on confidence when they meet Russell Lea next weekend while Balmain will need to put this defeat behind them as they face off against Strathfield.
