Hurlstone Park – Strathfield 1-1
Hurlstone Park and Strathfield could not be split as they endured a 1-1 stalemate at Ewen Park on Sunday afternoon.
Wanderers took a stronghold in the encounter throughout the first half but they were foiled on multiple occasions by Strathfield’s steely defence.
The visitors’ resistance paid off after the break when they went ahead via Angelica Georgopoulos’ finish on 53 minutes.
It was now time for the home side to show what they were made of and did not take long before they were able to draw level with Tessa Copp’s world class finish in the 62nd minute making for a grandstand finale.

However, the breakthrough that both sides craved did not eventuate as they were forced to settle for a share of the points.
Hurlstone Park can now look forward to taking on ACU in what is guaranteed to be a special night out at the Female Football Festival at Pratten Park on Friday.
Meanwhile, Strathfield will have to wait until Sunday as they go head to head with Russell Lea.
Russell Lea – Balmain DFC 0-3
A certain Zoe Zagami ran riot as Balmain put three unanswered goals past Russell Lea at Queen Elizabeth Park on Sunday afternoon.
Zagami took her season total to four and career total to 76 goals as she came up with a brace to ensure victory for her side.
Her first of the contest came midway through the first half in the 26th minute before adding another to her tally after the break on the 65th minute mark.

It was then left to Alessia Gangemi to wrap up the scoring nine minutes later with her effort which sealed a routine win for her side.
It is back to the drawing board for Russell Lea as they prepare to meet Strathfield on Sunday meanwhile Balmain do battle with the Saints for the second time this week when they clash at Callan Park.
Leichhardt Saints – ACU Football Club 6-2
There were eight goals in total at King George Park on Sunday as Leichhardt Saints posted a 6-2 victory in their clash against ACU.
Lucia Gonzalez got the scoring underway in the 16th minute before Gabriella Donoghue’s 29th minute effort gave her side a 2-0 lead as the half time whistle sounded.
The goals continued after the break (much to ACU’s dismay) with Macy Diett making it three to the good five minutes after the restart. It was then Gonzalez who made her way onto the scoresheet again seven minutes later before Donoghue also grabbed her brace in the 84th minute.

The visitors were able to mount a survival of sorts as they reduced the deficit courtesy of an Emma Neville double in the closing stages.
Balmain await Leichhardt at Callan Park this Sunday while ACU will feature in the special female football week encounter at Pratten Park on Friday night.
Monday Night Football: Balmain DFC – Leichhardt Saints 1-2
Leichhardt Saints claimed all three points in the first double header against Balmain at Strathfield Park on Monday night.
Macy Diett gave Saints the advantage on 17 minutes before Lucia Gonzalez popped up with her sixth of the season on the stroke of half time.
A second half revival saw Zoe Zagami pull one back for Balmain but that was as it good as it got for them as they suffered their second defeat of the campaign.
Revenge will be on the cards when these two face off again at Callan Park on Sunday.
