The second half saw Gangemi complete her hat-trick in the 64th minute before ACU pulled one back via Nicole Ossio on 75 minutes.

Balmain will have next weekend off after they played their round 8 encounter against Strathfield last night while ACU meet Hurlstone Park in a match that will undoubtedly make for interesting viewing.

Strathfield – Leichhardt Saints 1-4

Another five star performance from Leichhardt Saints saw them dispatch of Strathfield 4-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Saints found themselves 2-0 up at the break before an Alexandra Georgopoulos penalty pulled one back for Strathfield after the interval.

However, Leichhardt showed just why they are leading the pack as they steamrolled the hosts with another two goals to close out the contest.

Saints’ next fixture sees them head to Queen Elizabeth Park to do battle against Russell Lea.

Wednesday Night (Round 8 Fixture): Balmain - Strathfield 3-0

Balmain registered back-to-back wins with Strathfield their latest victim at Pratten Park on Wednesday night.

Zoe Kalos and Zoe Zagami gave Balmain a 2-0 lead as they headed into half time while Hazel Duwenbeck made sure of the points with her strike shortly after the restart.
