There may have only been two matches played over the weekend but they certainly delivered in the goals department with the net rippling a whopping 17 times.
ACU Football Club – Hurlstone Park 6-4
There were 10 goals scored in a high-octane clash at ACU on Sunday afternoon.
It all appeared to be one-way traffic in the first half with the home side racing to a 4-1 lead thanks to a Gillian Bartlett hat-trick and a Tricia Collaco goal.
The visitors reduced the deficit to 4-2 after half time but ACU returned fire via Sachi Farmer to make it five goals for the hosts.

Hurlstone Park’s never say die attitude saw them score two in quick succession to make things interesting with the game now sitting at 5-4.
However, a well-worked corner routine broke Hurlstone Park hearts as ACU ran away with the three points.
On the horizon for ACU is a visit to the Saints while Hurlstone Park entertain Balmain.
Russell Lea – Leichhardt Saints 0-7
There was a goal fest at Queen Elizabeth Park as Leichhardt Saints put seven past Russell Lea without reply.
Within 15 minutes, Saints found themselves four up with Aisling Carolan grabbing a brace in the opening two minutes before leading goal scorer Lucia Gonzalez added to her tally in the 11th minute and Macy Diett made it four in the 15th minute.
It was Diett who arrived on the scene again to give her side a 5-0 lead as they headed into the break courtesy of her 43rd minute effort.

The second half was a considerably more even affair with Saints only able to add another two goals to the already emphatic score line.
Elodie Hennessy-Trupheme scored their sixth goal ten minutes after the restart before Zoe Lindhout wrapped up the scoring in the 84th minute.
Leichhardt will be hoping to carry that kind of form into their meeting with ACU at Balmain Road Sporting Ground next Sunday while Russell Lea are back at Queen Elizabeth to host Strathfield.
