List of defibrillators in Football Canterbury

Published Wed 03 May 2023

Inspired by Football NSW’s Heart Health Round, Football Canterbury has collated the location of all defibrillators across the region.

The list can be easily accessed on our website by scrolling to the Resources Tab and then clicking on “Defib Locations”.

You can also access this list quickly through Instagram by clicking the link in our bio.

While the majority of grounds in our region do have defibrillators, the best thing is prevention and testing. Every year, more than 33,000 Australians suffer an out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest, with survival rates less than 10%.

It is important to get tested: on average, 33% of people tested by Heartbeat of Football are advised to see their GP for further testing. Many have discovered they have an underlying issue, sometimes genetic, and several have undergone life-saving procedures as a result.
