The start of the competitive season is just around the corner with Australia Cup fixtures released yesterday.
The national knockout cup is generally the first meaningful matches played each season and 2023 is no different with seven Football Canterbury clubs entering the tournament.
Hurlstone Park Wanderers, who won the double in the Bill Brackenbury Cup, is entering as well as grand finalists Enfield Rovers and semi-finalists Balmain DFC.
They will be joined by LFC Sports and Marrickville Red Devils, who finished fifth and ninth respectively in the Bill Brackenbury Cup last season, as well as ACU FC (sixth place in Division 1) and Roselands FC (Sunday Division 1 runners-up).
Due to the number of entrants, three Football Canterbury teams were drawn directly into Round 3, skipping Round 2. Round 2 will be played on the 11-12 March while Round 3 will be played on 21-23 March.
