Vale Joseph Kuchappan

The thoughts and prayers of the members of the CDSFA and CRA are with Joe's wife Pauline and sons Daniel and Andrew at this difficult time.

Joseph was a respected member of both the Football Association and the Referees Association. Joe served as a referee for more than two decades during which he was a member of the Referees Association Executive and for a period of time as President of the VRA. He was awarded Life Membership of the CRA in 2010.

Joe served the CDSFA as secretary for six years over two periods of time (2003 to 2005) and (2012 to 2014). He also gave service as Senior Vice President of the CDSFA  for 5 seasons (2007 to 2011) and was an Executive Committee Member in 2002 and and 2007. When the Association moved to a contemporary governance structure with a Board of Directors in 2014, Joseph served a two year period as a Director retiring from the role on 1 December 2015.

Joe was a popular figure at football grounds throughout the Association. He was for a number of years pripr to his ervice with the Football Association and the Referees Association a member of the foundation club of the Association, Canterbury Junior Soccer Club.
